Our Sceening methods are extensive as we expect the best from our Carers. We only interview and register qualified or experienced Nannies and Maternity Nurses.

We thoroughly reference-check all of our staff, and all Carers are required to hold a current Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check. Three years experience as well as current Level 1 First Aid qualifications are essential.More extensive experience is essential in jobs with newborn babies,night nannying and multiple births.To this extent we have built an large team of dedicated professional and experienced Nannies who specialise in night feeds,baby settling and helping new parents transition into parenthood gently.

We hire on attitude and want pro active professional Childcarers only.  We do not "sit" babies and as a result really dislike the term Babysitters as we find it demeaning to our professional Carers.We personally interview and induct all carers and that is handled by our recruitment team who are trained in all aspects of the recruitment process that is particular to the in home childcare sector.

We work closely with the Nanny a.k.a ChildCarer and Client to protect the rights of both Nannies and Clients, and to this end we provide home visits across  Melbourne and Agency Client Contracts for both Client and Carer.  Placement Solutions can also advise on government requirements for sick pay, holiday pay, etc.

All our Carers are subject to ongoing assessment and in-house training seminars as well as having access to higher childcare qualifications.

In order to obtain and retain the best nannies we pay above award wages and the Agency fully employs all casual,temporary and in-home care permanent nannies. As of 2012 we offer a payroll service and this is a great option also for those seeking private nannies.

We have a dedicated Liaison Officer who provides ongoing support and feedback to the Carers.

That means that if your family meets the eligibility criteria then we can offer you both the Childcare Benefit Rebate (CCB) at the time of utilising the service and the CCR once known as the ATO out-of-pocket expenses rebate. This is not available to those using only Registered Care.

Following a request from Nannies and Clients to clarify standards for live-in nannies, the following are minimum acceptable standards as adopted by Placement Solutions and as worked out in conjunction with Victorian Wage-line.

These standards have also been worked out in conjunction with the guidelines from the International Nanny Association and are in keeping with the provision of a fair and reasonable work agreement.
