Our Sceening methods are extensive as we expect the best from our Carers. We only interview and register qualified or experienced Nannies and Maternity Nurses.

We thoroughly reference-check all of our staff, and all Carers are required to hold a current Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check. Three years experience as well as current Level 1 First Aid qualifications are essential.More extensive experience is essential in jobs with newborn babies,night nannying and multiple births.To this extent we have built an large team of dedicated professional and experienced Nannies who specialise in night feeds,baby settling and helping new parents transition into parenthood gently.

We hire on attitude and want pro active professional Childcarers only.  We do not "sit" babies and as a result really dislike the term Babysitters as we find it demeaning to our professional Carers.We personally interview and induct all carers and that is handled by our recruitment team who are trained in all aspects of the recruitment process that is particular to the in home childcare sector.

We work closely with the Nanny a.k.a ChildCarer and Client to protect the rights of both Nannies and Clients, and to this end we provide home visits across  Melbourne and Agency Client Contracts for both Client and Carer.  Placement Solutions can also advise on government requirements for sick pay, holiday pay, etc.

All our Carers are subject to ongoing assessment and in-house training seminars as well as having access to higher childcare qualifications.

In order to obtain and retain the best nannies we pay above award wages and the Agency fully employs all casual,temporary and in-home care permanent nannies. As of 2012 we offer a payroll service and this is a great option also for those seeking private nannies.

We have a dedicated Liaison Officer who provides ongoing support and feedback to the Carers.

Following a request from Nannies and Clients to clarify standards for live-in nannies, the following are minimum acceptable standards as adopted by Placement Solutions and as worked out in conjunction with Victorian Wage-line.

These standards have also been worked out in conjunction with the guidelines from the International Nanny Association and are in keeping with the provision of a fair and reasonable work agreement.

This is a directive of the Australian Association of Nanny Agencies of which we were a founding member.

CHILD CARE REBATES APPLY TO IN-HOME CARE CLIENTS and not to those who privately or use a registered Nanny Agency

We stress that if you are eligible for in-home care then you are eligible for in-home care rebates right now.

As of July 2007 these vary from $4.49 per child per hour to the minimum of $0.89 per child per hour. You are also eligible for the ATO tax rebate of up to $7500 per child as an ALP  key election promise providing you are linked with us. All those eligible for Family Assistance from the Federal Australian Government under the revised guidelines effective on 1/7/2000 are able to claim the rebate through this Agency.

Placement Solutions offer Permanent Part-Time and Full Time in-home childcare services. Our nannies are available to either live-in or live-out. Permanent is classified as any job that is longer than 6 months and the Nanny will be employed by the Agency .We also offer payroll services through the Agency to make this easier for you .

We also offer casual care days or nights and short term care for up to 2 weeks .
