The Professional Development days provided by the agency are excellent with relevant speakers, great food and an opportunity to network with other nannies.  I would encourage every Nanny working with the agency to make these days a high priority.

I had premature twins at 3 months old

I had premature twins at 3 months old (gestational period) and as you can imagine with an illness, looking after twins was a daunting prospect.  I called upon Placement Solutions and they sent me a nanny - Rachel.  As I was sleep deprived, I explained everything to Rachel the minute she arrived as I needed the sleep.  In no time at all we had a routine for the girls. Rachel asked me in meetings what I would like for the girls so that she could implement them in their routine. We discussed the girls playtimes, routines and personal development.  I sincerely and seriously mean this - Rachel is a credit to herself, the company and our girls.  She works tirelessly from 8 - 6 Monday to Friday day in day out and as it turns out, she is our "Mary Poppins" in more ways than one.  I have come to know Rachel and she is a godsend to our family. We really have formed a close bond with Rachel, the girls adore her and I consider her to be my confidant.  We thank you for the sleep, feeds and playtimes together with the songs and storytelling.....we all love you Rachel and mum thinks you’re the best..... Hi my name is Fiona.

I came from Ireland to live and work in Melbourne for 6 months and I was blessed in that time to find Placement Solutions (PS).

Coming from a teaching background, I actually never planned on working as a nanny while in Australia but that is exactly what I ended up doing and how glad I am that I did because it has been an amazing experience.

From the first moment I walked into the office of Placement Solutions I felt very welcome and I knew this was the place for me. After guiding me through the steps towards being placed in a home, it wasn't long before the team had found me a family to work with and I was ringing the doorbell to my new job and surrogate family for the next few months.

I was so happy to be helping out a family and working with children again but when I saw the tears of gratitude in the mother's eyes on the first day, it really made me realise what an important job I had and how valid the work that PS does is.  I love being a teacher but I don't think I ever felt more appreciated in my work than I did as a nanny in my time with PS.

I am back home in Ireland now and I am still in touch with the family. Mum may have cried on day 1 but it was me who had the tears on the last day!

I want to say a big thank you to all of the staff in PS for your support to me along the way. I always knew that when I had a query I had someone (esp Kerrie) on the end of the phone to ring and I know I made use of it plenty of times so thank you for all your patience and kindness.

Whether in the paperwork, verbal discussions or the duties my nanny performs, I have peace of mind, knowing my children are safe and happy when I leave for work.

We approached Placement Solutions after contacting other agencies about supplying a nanny for a nanny share situation. Placement Solutions was the only agency we contacted who were willing to work with us and help us secure the Child Care Rebate, which made having a nanny very affordable. We shared 2 nannies over our time together; one who left us only because her study hours changed, and a second nanny who was an incredible fit. Her patience with the kids and her wonderful support to us as parents made the transition back to work much easier. Placement Solutions were always easy to deal with and managed all the contact with Centrelink on our behalf; again a great service when trying to juggle a young child and work!
