A warm and welcoming professional family is seeking an experienced, nurturing and engaging nanny to care for their young some three days a week. This is a long term position commencing March 2026.
🔹 About the Family
A family of 3. The child attends a regular Thursday morning activity. The family has two friendly but energetic dogs. They may initially be separated while they adjust to the new caregiver.
🌟 Role Overview
The successful candidate will provide attentive, play-based care in a supportive home environment. A parent works from home and remains the primary caregiver but requires assistance during working hours.
The family values learning through play and would love a nanny who will actively engage their child in activities he enjoys, including:

Cooking and baking

Arts and crafts (including making playdough)

Outdoor play and ball games

Reading and singing
-
Nature exploration, including bird watching and gardening
⏰ Key Responsibilities

Preparing meals and snacks (encouraging exposure to a variety of foods)

Taking the child to local parks, library visits, and nearby activities (a driver’s licence and confidence driving locally is preferred)

Engaging in creative, educational, and outdoor activities

Managing the child’s routine (short rest period if required, finishing before 1:30pm)

Cleaning up after meals and activities

Washing the child’s clothing as needed

Supporting a calm, positive, and structured daily rhythm

You will have:
- A minimum 3 years' full-time experience in the Childcare Industry working as a Nanny, Child Carer, Child Educator or in similar positions
- Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate issued in Australia
- Current Victorian Working With Children Check for Employees
- National Police Clearance issued within 12 months in Australia
- Permanent Australian residency or a valid working visa
- Flexibility, commitment and a great work ethic
- Full vaccination status
