About the Family

You will be working with a professional couple balancing business and medical careers, bringing a thoughtful and values-driven approach to family life.

  • First-time parents, expecting a baby in July

  • International lifestyle between Australia and the United States with additional travel in between.

  • Multilingual household (English, Spanish & German spoken) 

  • Experienced with live-in nannies and value a harmonious home dynamic

They are warm, inclusive and respectful — and equally value clear boundaries and personal space for both family and Nanny.

The Lifestyle

This is a truly global role offering:

  • A split-year lifestyle between Darwin and the San Francisco Bay Area

  • Private bedroom and ensuite in both residences

The Role

You will provide dedicated support from the newborn stage, while contributing to a calm, organised and well-functioning home.

Childcare

  • Supporting the baby from birth (July onwards)

  • Establishing routines and providing nurturing, responsive care

  • Supporting developmental milestones as the child grows

  • Occasional evening and event support

  • Preparing healthy, thoughtful meals

  • Additional household support during non-child times

The Ideal Candidate

This role is suited to a career nanny who is experienced, emotionally intelligent and adaptable.

Essential Requirements

  • Applicants must be eligible for an E-3 visa (Australian citizenship required)

  • Undergraduate Bachelor level University degree

  • Demonstrated experience with newborns

  • The family also values familiarity with Australian culture and lifestyle

  • Highly organised, calm and proactive

  • Warm, kind and nurturing

  • Discreet with a strong respect for family privacy

  • Naturally independent — able to enjoy time off and personal space

  • Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic schedule

You will have:

  • A minimum 3 years' full-time experience in the Childcare Industry working as a Nanny, Child Carer, Child Educator or in similar positions
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate issued in Australia
  • Current Victorian Working With Children Check for Employees
  • National Police Clearance issued within 12 months in Australia
  • Permanent Australian residency or a valid working visa
  • Flexibility, commitment and a great work ethic
  • Full vaccination status
