👪 About the Family
We are seeking a warm, calm, caring and experienced In-Home Nanny to support a busy family with newborn twins and their older siblings.

The family has three young children, including prematurely born twins who have ongoing medical and feeding needs. The family would greatly benefit from a reliable, nurturing person who can provide practical support and respite within the home.

The older child attends daycare four days per week, so the primary focus of the role will be caring for the twins. There may be occasions when care for the older child is also required.

The successful nanny will provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment while working collaboratively with the parents.

Duties may include:
Caring for the twins throughout the day
Bottle preparation and feeding
Following established feeding and care routines
Supporting naps and settling
Baby-related household tasks such as washing bottles and tidying feeding areas
Light assistance around the children and family home
Providing occasional care for the older sibling when required
Communicating openly with the parents about the children's needs and routines
Following guidance and recommendations provided by the children's treating health professionals

The parents have received specialised education from their children's treating clinicians and will provide clear guidance around feeding and care strategies.

👶 Childcare Responsibilities
Bottle feeding and responsive feeding
Implementing feeding strategies recommended by their treating clinicians
Monitoring feeding and fluid intake
Supporting healthy weight gain and development
Reflux and vomiting management
Settling and sleep support
Holding babies upright after feeds where required
Providing calm, consistent and responsive care
Attending to the individual needs of each baby

The older child may occasionally require care and has food allergies, so experience with allergies and careful food safety practices is important.

Experienced with newborns and young babies, ideally twins
Confident caring for premature babies or children with additional needs
Experienced with bottle feeding and responsive feeding
Understanding of allergies and food safety
Calm, patient and nurturing
Caring, friendly and approachable
Reliable and consistent
Open-minded and comfortable following medical and allied-health recommendations
Respectful of family routines, preferences and privacy
Comfortable working within a busy family environment
A confident communicator who will work positively alongside the parents

Experience with premature infants, feeding difficulties, reflux, allergies or medically complex children would be highly regarded.

This is an important support role for a family with significant day-to-day demands. The ideal person will bring a calm and reassuring presence, provide dependable care for the children and help create some breathing space for the parents.

A nanny who genuinely enjoys caring for babies, is attentive to their individual cues and needs, and is willing to learn and follow established care recommendations would be an excellent fit.

You will have:

  • A minimum 3 years' full-time experience in the Childcare Industry working as a Nanny, Child Carer, Child Educator or in similar positions
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate issued in Australia
  • Current Victorian Working With Children Check for Employees
  • National Police Clearance issued within 12 months in Australia
  • Permanent Australian residency or a valid working visa
  • Flexibility, commitment and a great work ethic
  • Full vaccination status
