🌿We are seeking a reliable, proactive Household Manager to support the smooth running of our home in Preston. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, empathetic, and proactive.
🧒About the family:
We are a working couple living in a two-storey, 3 bedroom townhouse with our two friendly cats. Our home is a calm, creative space where we value routines, understanding and mutual respect.
🧩 About the Role
This is a household management position—not just cleaning, but helping create an environment that supports well-being and daily functioning. You’ll be assisting with home organisation, light domestic duties, and occasional errands, working alongside someone who experiences sensory sensitivities, executive dysfunction, and demand avoidance. You’ll be focused on tasks that make everyday life smoother—enabling us to spend more time managing health, work, and personal interests.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Meal preparation and basic cooking
- Laundry (washing, drying, folding, ironing) - Decluttering and home organisation (especially pantry, closet, office and library)
- Tidying and light cleaning (dusting, surface cleaning) - Errands (grocery shopping, dry cleaning pick up etc) - Supporting the set up systems to manage daily routines and fluctuating energy levels
- Organising craft and gardening supplies for easy access and use

- Experience in household management
- Comfortable working in a home with neurodivergent adults
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Respectful of boundaries and sensitive to sensory needs
- Cat-friendly and pet-aware
- Able to work independently and with initiative
