👪 A loving family of five is seeking a compassionate and experienced Educator to assist with caregiving for one of their children. The mother has experienced health challenges following a medical event and requires additional support to manage her caregiving responsibilities effectively.

This role focuses primarily on providing developmental and daily living support to one of the children, while contributing to a nurturing and structured home environment.

🧩 About the Role
The educator will be responsible for meeting the child’s basic daily care needs and engaging in developmentally appropriate, play-based activities designed to support their growth and independence.

⏰ The role involves:
-Assisting with self-care routines, including toileting, hygiene, and feeding.
-Supporting communication development, helping the child express wants and needs (primarily through non-verbal cues).
-Encouraging fine motor skills such as holding a pencil, paintbrush, or feeding utensils.
-Implementing therapist-recommended activities that align with the child’s developmental goals.
-Promoting home safety awareness, including reminders about doors, windows, and the oven.
-Introducing early learning concepts such as letter and number recognition.
-Encouraging community participation through outings to the park, library, or local playgroups.

Experienced in working with children with developmental delays or disabilities preferred
Skilled in supporting non-verbal communication and sensory needs.
Proactive, creative, and able to plan engaging, play-based learning experiences.
Reliable, flexible, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively with the family and therapists.

You will have:

  • A minimum 3 years' full-time experience in the Childcare Industry working as a Nanny, Child Carer, Child Educator or in similar positions
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate issued in Australia
  • Current Victorian Working With Children Check for Employees
  • National Police Clearance issued within 12 months in Australia
  • Permanent Australian residency or a valid working visa
  • Flexibility, commitment and a great work ethic
  • Full vaccination status
